Friday night, Dad and I went to the PBR! Professional Bull Riding! It was my first time and I was so excited! I have wanted to go for quite a few years, and was excited to hear that it was taking place the weekend I was going to be home AND that my Dad was interested in going!
We went friday night and there were 43 bullriders. Only 8 rode in the long go, so they had to draw a couple more for the short go. Jason Bennett took the lead that night with riding in the long go and the short go, but he took third overall, after saturday night!
What was really exciting was to see Chris Shivers ride! He is awesome. He usually doesn't do these short shows, but did this one, becuase he likes ND, and was only able to ride in the long go. He is worth a lot of money people.
Another exciting thing to see was Little Yellow Jacket! The Bull. From Mandan, ND! Wahoo! He is one awesome bull, 1700 lbs. He is retired now. But, we got to see a bullrider attempt to ride his son Red Jacket that night! What a great experience!
6.2 MILE WALK:
Saturday morning we (Mom, Dad, Sis2, and me) got up early to do the 6 mile walk for the Prairie Rose State Games. We decided to head out early, since it was to get to 110 degrees that day! Yeeks. Boy, was it warm by the time we were done. I still forget how many hills are in Bismarck. Wow! What a workout!
WHITE WEDDING:
Last night we went up to Minot to go to a friends wedding. Beautiful. It was outdoors, at the park and was gorgeous. Fun times. Even in the hot hot hot weather! The bride was beautiful!
As for the coming week, I start a new session of two classes. They will go for the next two weeks from 8-5 and I am wondering when I am going to get my runs in. I hate to have to run indoors on the treadmill, but I will not be running outdoors at 5pm...yuck. Too hot!
Happy Runnings, y'all!

No, no, no. You are confused - it's not running outdoors at 5pm, it's running outdoors at 5am! That's how you do it!
Sounds like a fun weekend. Try to get up a little early to get a run in before heading to class.
cue up some good TV and the treadmill isn't so bad :) bull riding weekend sounds way cool!
How did the bride NOT melt??
That bull looks so angry....but I guess that's the point. I have to say, you're the first running blogger to go see professional bull riders that I know of. Much better way to spend the day than running in this heat.
