To post pictures in your sidebar, you'll want to log-in to your blogger account and from the Dashboard page, click on the "Template" tab. Then click on "Add a Page Element". From the pop-up window, choose "Picture". It should be self-explanatory from there... it will allow you to post a picture that you upload from your PC or via a url link to an image on another site.
For pictures with links... you'll want to choose "HTML/JavaScript".
The code would look something like:
{a href="http://running-for-me.blogspot.com/" title="Teacher Woman"}{img src="http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/tw.jpg/"}{/a}
The web url address for the site you want to link to is listed first... then the web url for the image.
I can't leave actual code in the comments field so you'll also need to make the following changes:
substitute the { } brackets for < >
