Autumn is here...already.
With the change in seasons, I have decided that it is time to change part of my lifestyle.
Currently, I am and have been going to school during the day and working with my students, going to class 3 nights a week, and spending a minimal amount of time doing homework for those classes.
It has been driving me crazy that I haven't been able to get my runs in. (Come monday, I will have been on a two-week hiatus from running..yuck) I have been rushing between school and class, running errands, volleyball (yes, this is necessary), and spending a little of my time with friends...."cooling off" from the stressful week of kids and classes.
Now, it is time for some change. Now that I know what it is like to teach full time and take part in graduate classes full time, I know what I need to get done, and when I need to do it. There is no reason why I can't take 4-5 hours out of my 120 waking hours in the week to run. NO REASON. I think....
The BRAND NEW Wellness Center opens on monday! You have NO idea how excited I am! YES!
That will hopefully keep me from using the excuses I have been using lately....too dark, too wet, etc. This will allow me to go for a run at 7pm after class on tuesday and thursday if I would like. I am only going to use it as a last resort, as I do not care for running on thrillmills now... but will make the best of it...especially when winter comes around.
With a side note on the "lists"....
Tomorrow's list consists of:
- Run in the AM
- 2 Action research abstracts
- Action research plan of action
- Action Research Matrix
- Meeting with a group for an assignment
- & a little R&R to mentally prepare myself for the week!
Happy Runnings, y'all!

it's like our lives parallel each other. I'm doing action research readings this week, and have to start an abstract for next week. blah.
I too seriously need to JUST FIND THE TIME for running. it's not going so well.
good luck getting the stuff done tomorrow!
I will hopefully be teaching full time next year and taking graduate classes at the same time, but only one per quarter. I'll try to pick up some good tips from you along the way. Good luck getting the running done.
I would be excited too. The running will help deal with the stress of both teaching and going to school.
When I was in grad school, I had yet re-discovered running, which was probably good because I did not have time for it. But it also explains why I was 10 lbs heavier than I am now.
Wow...you are busy. Just try even going out for an 1/2 hour will be good for you. And you can always squeeze in a 1/2 hour. That's how you can reason with yourself anyways....then you can always decide to run a bit longer.
